Strava Wars Rules
How the competition works.
What is Strava Wars?
A monthly battle on the hills of Rossendale. Complete two nominated Strava segments — one run, one bike — as fast as you can.
Activities can be completed any time between the 1st of the month and 6pm on the last Sunday of the month. Your fastest effort on each segment counts.
No Strava premium required. Your activity must be set to public and you must be a member of the Rossendale Triathlon Club Strava group.

How to take part
- Check the monthly email or leaderboard page for the nominated run and bike segments.
- Complete a run and/or ride that includes those segments, with your activity set to public on Strava.
- Your fastest effort on each segment during the competition window counts.
- Results are announced at the end of the month.
Points system
Points are awarded for completing each segment and for your finishing position.
- 5 points for completing the run segment.
- 5 points for completing the bike segment.
- 5 bonus points for completing both segments.
- Position points per segment: 1st = 10, 2nd = 9, 3rd = 8… down to 1 point for 10th place.
- Maximum in one month: 35 points (complete both segments + fastest on each + bonus).
